SETTING UP PASSWORD RECOVERY OPTIONS HAS TO BE DONE WHILE USERS HAVE AN ACTIVE, VALID USERNAME AND PASSWORD. IF A PASSWORD HAS EXPIRED OR BEEN FORGOTTEN BEFORE SETTING UP THESE OPTIONS, USERS WILL NEED TO CONTACT GORILLA GEEKS AT 620-235-4600.
Users of GUS at Pittsburg State University can set up options to make password recovery self-service. From the GUS Portal, log in to GUS Classic. Go to Computer Accounts & Password. Under PSU Unified Password, click on Password Recovery Options. Enter email addresses other than your pittstate.edu or gus.pittstate.edu email and mobile phone numbers to receive a reset key for your password via email or text. To reset your password, go to the GUS Portal and click on Log into my GUS on the top left of the page. On the Pittsburg State University log in page, under the Sign In button click on Forgot PSU Unified Password. Enter your PSU ID number and select Submit. Select a verification option (email address or mobile phone number). Confirm the email or phone number and select next. When you receive the code through email or text, enter it in the box and continue the process of changing your password.
